Based on 32 reviewsEverest Kitchen Rugby has quickly established itself as a standout restaurant in Rugby, praised for its fresh, high-quality Nepalese and Indian cuisine. Customers consistently highlight generous portion sizes and a diverse menu catering well to both meat-eaters and vegetarians. The food is noted for its authentic flavors, with particular acclaim for lamb dishes and unique starters. Friendly and welcoming staff contribute to a positive dining experience. Some occasional feedback points to minor inconsistencies in takeaway timing and specific dish textures, but overall, the brand is recognized for reasonable prices and a warm atmosphere, making it a recommended choice for both dine-in and takeout.
Just eaten here for the first time. Went into an empty restaurant with an open mind, and I'm glad I did. My wife and I were made most welcome. I asked what was good and was offered a starter I've never heard of before maumau. They are filled buns and were prepared and cooked fresh. They were delicious, with a slightly spicy dip. I then had Everest lamb and my wife had lamb saag. Both dishes were very tasty and not too spicy. The decor in this place is poor, but it is a work in progress. If you can look past this you'll enjoy a delicious meal. Please give Everest Kitchen a go. I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised. I look forward to eating here again soon.
Excellent food, very tasty and good size portions, probably the best food I've had in Rugby. Good mix of Nepalese and more traditional Indian dishes. Great for vegetarians as well. Extremely reasonable price. Friendly staff. Only been open a few weeks, so very quiet, so please visit!
Ordered from here for a takeout after having read the reviews and they were not wrong. I ordered a chicken madras which was fresh and absolutely delicious. The mushroom rice was steamed and so light and fresh. The portions were big so I only ate half. I also ordered chilli paneer but i didn't particularly enjoy it tasted too salty and rubbery but some may like it. They were an hour late delivering but the food was piping hot and they brought a bottle of coke to apologise. Nice touch. All in all a lovely dinner. I've normally order from the Sri Lankan place opposite but I will definitely be ordering from here again. I look forward to sampling some of the other dishes from the menu. Very reasonably priced too. Try it.
Definitely the best curry spot in rugby. Been ordering and coming here regularly with my Mrs ever since it opened and has never let me down. Always fresh tasting food and service is great, the staff always make you feel welcome and I recommend it to anyone
New business in Rugby, have been twice now and the food is excellent quality with great portion sizes. Staff very welcoming. Reasonable prices make for perfect meal. Ghurka lamb curry is highly recommended as meat just falls apart, no need to use knife and extremely tasty with lemon rice.
First impressions were very good with a prompt, friendly welcome before being escorted to a table. Staff were very attentive, taking the time to discuss the menu with us and offer guidance and recommendations about traditional Nepalese food. Food was excellent, arriving in good time but without feeling rushed between courses. I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken sadheko and Gurkha lamb curry - which had a very balanced but flavoursome taste - with mushroom rice and would certainly recommend the latter. (Just to be clear I normally go for a properly hot curry but I try to be open to trying different dishes when the opportunity presents.)
